Kirk was established by Michael Kirkland in August 2002 with a single brand M.Trim, which has become the leading floor and wall trim brand in Southern Africa.

In 2023 Kirk now supplies the Southern African market with 10 of its own brands. Through specifications and retail programs, Kirk promotes and sells all 10 brands in Southern Africa and in several countries outside Southern Africa Kirk has also established partnerships with distributors and retailers.

Kirk offers a recognisably superior range of products, product expertise and on the ground support throughout Southern Africa and beyond.

At the core of our product offer is the Kirk website, Kirk File, from which it is simple to access a full range of product catalogues and brochures. The Kirk product offering has expanded from the initial brand M.Trim and now includes Bathroom accessories; tiling tools, accessories and tile cutters; cleaning chemicals and applicators; Classen laminate floors and M.Floors vinyl sheeting; Porcelain and Glass Mosaics; Doormats and Entrance matting; Skirtings and Beadings; Décor Trims, Rugs and bathmats; and Structural expansion joints for buildings and carparks.

We see our role as matching our customers’ needs to what is currently available in this rapidly changing market. We work closely with our South African suppliers and we attend major international trade shows to ensure we are keeping up to date with worldwide trends and offering our customers the best the world can currently offer.
